We have several teams all working on the same project and this allows the product owner to keep track of which team is working on each story. It does this by tagging the story with the name of the team that pulled the story into their backlog. Story updates, including comments and tags, are propagated between backlogs.

This is a hook you can add to a git workspace to easily add story numbers from unfinished stories in the current iteration to your check-in comments.
